MIDWEST TENNESSEE GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY

You are invited to join THE MID-WEST TENNESSEE GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY

PURPOSE:  This society was organized November 12, 1968, for the purpose of assisting its members in their genealogical research; of creating interest in genealogical and historical records; and of the the collecting and preserving of these, depositing as many of them as possible in libraries and archives.

REGULAR MEETINGS:  The society meets the second Thursday of each month in the conference room of the Jackson-Madison County Library, Jackson, Tennessee.  The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and usually includes a speaker on a topic relating to the field of genealogy.  Everyone interested in family history is invited to the meetings.  It is a great way to meet "kindred spirits" with genealogy interests.

PUBLICATIONS:  Family Findings  is the Society's quarterly publication and is free to members.  It is published in January, April, July, and October.  Members are allowed one free query per year of eight (8) or fewer than eight typed lines.  Additional queries from members will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis.  Members are also encouraged to submit articles for publication in the quarterly.

MEMBERSHIP:  The Mid-West Tennessee Genealogical Society is open to any person interested in the purpose of our society.  Membership is $15.00 per year, January 1 through December 31, and entitles members to receive Family Findings
